President Obama’s Marketing Success
Despite the differences in their options, neither Democrats nor Republicans could dispute the brilliance of President Obama’s marketing campaigns. From using a BussFeed video to promote Obamacare, to online interviews with popular Youtube stars, White House marketing during the past seven years was clever, daring, fun, and… often successful at selling key points to the target audience.
The President and his team implemented a first-class marketing strategy that politicians at home and around the world will follow and imitate for years to come. In fact, the ability to create successful marketing campaigns might determine who wins future U.S. elections on both the State and Federal levels.
To understand why, let’s drive deeper into the most successful elements of Obama’s marketing campaigns. First, Obama always aligns himself with the target audience. When speaking to young adults, for instance, he took selfies and made a funny drawing of First Lady. Secondly, in each of the marketing appearances he was always humble. The tone felt like he was speaking as a friend rather than a powerful politician. Lastly, President Obama always seemed honest, proud and truthful. Audiences respect those attributes because this is the kind of leader they want to follow.
